Ash & Elliot's Heartfelt Wedding Day at The Valley Estate, Currumbin Waters
Ash and Elliott were married at The Valley Estate in Currumbin Waters, exchanging vows inside the venue's light-filled Glass House before celebrating in The Manor as the sun went down. As their Gold Coast wedding photographer, I'd already met the family at a portrait session in Brisbane City Botanical Gardens, so I knew exactly what this day meant: eight years together, two young daughters as flower girls and a wedding that was less like a formal event and more like a family finally making it official in front of everyone who'd watched them build it.
The morning started with the particular chaos of two small flower girls getting ready alongside the bride, all glam and giggles, before the mood shifted into something quieter ahead of the ceremony. Inside the Glass House, with hinterland greenery pressing against the walls on every side, the girls led the way down the aisle, and there wasn't a dry eye among the family in those front rows by the time Ash appeared. It was beautiful, emotional and so so dear to be part of and exactly why real, family-led weddings like this one are my favourite to shoot.
The Valley Estate's mix of privacy, hinterland scenery, and architecture, the Glass House, manicured gardens, and The Manor all on one exclusive property, made it the perfect backdrop for a day this personal, and the golden hour portraits and chandelier-lit reception that followed only proved it.
